Update 2-21-24': Version 7.2.3.0822 is released for mac and seems to be quite stable. please remember when upgrading version you need to backup forticlient in forticlient as yoru config will be wiped when upgrading.
Symptom:
When trying to log on, it gets stuck on "connecting".
Resolution:
- Close forticlient from the taskbar
- Delete forticlient files from Library/LaunchDaemons
- Delete forticlient files from Library/Application Support/Fortinet
- Empty the recycling Bin
- Uninstall forticlient using forticlientuninstaller.app
- Reboot the computer
- Install Forti client 7.2.2.0776
- Accept notifications popup
- Make sure forticlient and fctservctl2 have full disk access (you might need to toggle off then back on.
- Open forticlient and accept the EULA
- Close the forticlient
- Reboot
- Configure your VPN connections and connection should be successful.
